AP: The Clintons are equally loved and hated
Both gave speeches in the Capitol today. AP reports:

"The dueling speeches from the political twosome were more than the Clintons writ large, the power couple who elicit equal parts love and loathing in some citizens."

Hmmm...equal, huh?

The most recent job approval ratings I could find for the mister:

ABC News/Washington Post Poll. June 04

"Thinking back to when Bill Clinton was in office, would you say you approve or disapprove of the way Clinton handled his job as president?"

Approve 62%
Disap-prove 37%

Applying the same standard (a reflection of job approval) to the Senator:

Marist poll, Jan 06

Question Wording: Do you definitely plan to vote for Hillary Clinton for re-election as U.S. Senator or do you definitely plan to vote against her?

Definitely Vote For 54%
Definitely Vote Against 32%

They just write whatever they want.

4. Don't read too much into this.
It's fair to say that there are some that hate the Clinton's and there are some that love the Clinton's. Let's not parse words like the Republicans please. Now, if the poll numbers were made up to show that more people hated the Clintons and the AP reported it, then we'd have a problem.

I agree that words are powerful and can shape perceptions, but should we really waste our energy on the AP saying "equal?" Again, if they had said something like, "the Clintons, widely disliked throughout most of America..." etc., we'd have a problem.

Thanks for listening :D
