So I just got back from my monthly meeting of our local Democrats club here in California. This club consists mostly of white retirees, who were professional career people, many in teaching and the medical profession.
Our guest speakers were teachers from the local schools. First, they are pretty pissed off with Arnold and his attempts to mess with their union, wages and tenure issues. But they are also upset with his support of the Minutemen and his non-solution for the border problem.
These two white American teachers also informed the club that if they didn't have the immigrant children to teach that it would drastically reduce their funding which pays for many of the extras and extra-curricular activities that they are able to offer which all the children benefit from, not just the immigrants. This puts a different perspective on those who think the immigrant children shouldn't be able to attend public schools.
Oh, yeah and the teachers and firemen are still all steam ahead to make sure Arnold never gets re-elected again. They have put their collective investigative heads together and are digging up all kinds of dirt about the recall and subsequent election that installed Arnold. They said the trail goes directly to Karl Rove's office and the White House.
Watch them move into place for the coming elections. The teacher's and firemen's unions are determined that the plans to turn California into a red state in the 2008 election will never happen.
All I can say is Californians
