FRONT ROYAL, Va., April 5 /Christian Wire Service/ -- The Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer, President of Human Life International (HLI), responds to Michael Schiavo’s attack on Tom Delay.

“Michael Schiavo’s attack on Tom DeLay upon his resignation is absurd on the face of it and another attempt at the pathetic justification of a guilty conscience on the part of Michael.

“Schiavo should be embarrassed by the judicial killing of his wife because the whole incident served to show the world his brutality and moral cowardice.

“Real men don’t kill their wives, and if Michael Sciavo had been half the man Tom DeLay was in defending Terri she would still be alive today.

“History will remember Michael Schiavo as a monster and Tom Delay as a hero.

“Human Life International is encouraging everyone to go to our website www.hli.org and sign the Thank You Tom Delay Letter commending him for his courage and his commitment to creating a culture-of-life...” concluded the Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer.

Founded in 1981, Human Life International is the world’s largest pro-life, pro-family organization that is dedicated to defending life, faith and the family, with branches and affiliates around the world.

Tens of thousands of Iraqi men, women and children?

Are these the same people who have no regard for the laws designed to protect the lives of pregnant women?

Goes to show that Lewis Carroll is alive and well in American politics.

14. Hey Plastic Turkeys!
He is doing really well. I am finding that I am the one struggling now. Saturday is the sixth month anniversary of Ben's attack in Ramadi and things have settled and I've caught my breath but the enormity of the ordeal has hit me harder than ever. I am sad a good deal of the time. I want the troops home so badly. Every death just grabs my heart. I am so sick to death of Bush and his death cult, and all the hate, and all the lies, and all the suffering.

When the freeper called me a bitch last Monday and wished for Ben's death well I am still a bit freaked over that. Thanks for the hug friend.

16. Fascinating article about him, here, from a few years back
It discusses those aspects of the guy that you noted.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A6825-2001May9?language=printer

And interestingly enough, it provides a CLUE as to the defense {IT WASN'T ME!) that he will likely use when the Feds come after him:

...When DeLay launched his impeachment jihad, he convened about 20 of his staff and had them join hands, heads bowed, in an emotional prayer session, according to The Breach by Washington Post reporter Peter Baker. "We need to pray for strength," DeLay said then, tears streaming down his cheeks. "Please know that we're not happy about doing this. We see this as our responsibility."

But the book documents an altogether different attitude behind the scenes in a contemporaneous
e-mail exchange about impeachment between two top DeLay staffers: "This whole thing about not kicking someone when they are down is BS – Not only do you kick him – you kick him until he passes out – then beat him over the head with a baseball bat – then roll him up in an old rug – and throw him off a cliff into the pound surf below!!!!!"

When I ask DeLay about this memo, he smiles. "It's not from me," he says of the staffer's e-mail. "That's his philosophy. That's not Tom DeLay. You'd have a hard time proving that I have done anything to destroy people personally." He is correct about that. Because DeLay the politician long ago learned the art of not leaving fingerprints....

Edited on Thu Apr-06-06 03:22 AM by LittleClarkie
What proof is there that Michael Schiavo killed his wife?

What proof is there that she had a brain at the end?

We have proof that he loved her. Why else do you study to become a nurse if it isn't to become a caregiver.

On their side, they have a Doctor who thinks it appropriate to diagnose a video.

On Michael's side, we have an autopsy that shows the woman nearly no brain left.

Oye shit.

On edit: let me guess, Opus Dei, right?

I pity that man so very much. I'd sue the FUCK out of someone for accusing me of this. How dare he?

I can't imagine the pain of having to decide this for a loved one WITHOUT a media circus, and on top of that plus years of the sadness of this I just can't imagine how he can even function. (hugs for Michael) the poor man.

And I didn't know that about DeLay unplugging his own father. I wonder how much it'd cost to get a brand made that spells HYPOCRITE? I already have a portable blowtorch around here someplace....

25. Here's my email to them:
Your group's attack on Michael Schiavo is not only disgusting, but it's incredibly hypocritical. You say real men don't kill their wives? Well, Tom DeLay did the EXACT SAME THING to his OWN FATHER in 1988:

http://www.slate.com/id/2115879/

"In 1988, Tom DeLay's 65-year-old father, Charles DeLay, suffered catastrophic brain damage and went into a coma. He had no hope of recovery but evidently reacted when his son entered the room. Although Charles DeLay had no living will, his family concluded that he would be better off dead and wouldn't want to go on living this way. Tom DeLay joined other family members in deciding to withhold dialysis. His father died."

Real Christians don't tell lies and smear innocent people. You make me sick. I would like to know how the "Reverend" Euteneur can cast these stones at Mr. Schiavo when Tom DeLay made the exact same decision in regards to his father. What does your "pro-life" group think of Tom DeLay's decision to pull the plug on HIS OWN FATHER???

Your attack on Michael Schiavo was cruel and UN-christian!
That woman was all ready brain dead and for you to villify
Michael Shiavo, is beyond comprehension! Face the facts!
Terri Shiavo was all ready brain dead!!
Stop using her as your poster child!
Real Christians don't LIE but apparently Tom Delay does!
If anybody is a coward? It IS Tom Delay!
What mental illness do supposed Christian Fundies suffer from?
What makes you so callous and un-godly? Is it the Kool-Aid?
Stop drinking the RED Koolaid then!
You are nothing but hypocrites!!!
You make me sick!

38. Couldn't help myself:
I just sent the following to that ass. Christians on the board, Please forgive me for writing this as though I were a Christian. That's a little hypocrisy on my own part, but I felt a message from a Christian would have more weight than one from an atheist.

"Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer should be ashamed of himself for advocating artificially keeping brain dead people alive and preventing them from joining their Father in Heaven. The Reverend should concern himself with those people who are very alive and want to stay that way - the poor, the starving, and our brave young service people, giving up their lives every day in Mr. Bush's "war." He also perhaps should look at the photos of the dead children and babies the US has killed because of peripheral "damage" in that "war."

In addition, rather than receiving great praise, perhaps Mr. DeLay should concentrate on being a real Christian, rather than a temple money changer. Words do not make a Christian. Trying to live life as Christ would have done is being Christian. Mr. DeLay has yet to show any Christ-like behavior, although he does a good job of bragging about his Christianity.

I am sure the Reverend also understands that Mr. DeLay pulled the plug on his own father. Who knows how many years Mr. DeLay's father could have been kept from his Father in Heaven by artificial means. Jesus didn't much care for hypocrites.

Yours in Christ,
XXXXXXXX"
