You are what you read
Edited on Thu Apr-06-06 05:07 AM by Bleachers7
Here's a witty blog comment. I think there's a bit of truth to it.

Talking about the media.
You are what you read . . .

1. The Wall Street Journal is read by the people who run the country.

2. The Washington Post is read by people who think they run the country.

3. The New York Times is read by people who think they should run the country and who are very good at crossword puzzles.

4. USA Today is read by people who think they ought to run the country but don't really understand The New York Times. They do, however, like their statistics shown in pie charts.

2. I'm a phonebook then
I enjoy reading phonebooks

I read them whenever they come out and whenever I move to a new location.

It's not all I read, of course... :)

4. Me too! (hotels)
I find them fascinating! It's like a mirror of the town and you can learn so much about where you're living or even staying for the night.
:)

My family always thought my habit "weird"

5. I've been accused of being a bit weird myself for this and
other minor eccentricities. You are so right about the phone book reflecting the image of the town. It's hard to explain to those that aren't drawn to read it.

Speaking of phone books, I still haven't gotten my new one yet! Time to make the 3rd call requesting one. Morans. I'm still waiting for the one that never came last year!

BTW, love your banana! :hi:

11. The National Enquirer is read by people trapped in line at the supermarket. They don't read anything else, except traffic signs.
