Almost Lost My Breakfast--FRIST/PRESIDENT Bumper Sticker
OK. If you know Franklin Street in the heart of Chapel Hill (Berkeley of the South) you'll understand my reaction.

Half an hour ago, after dropping my son at the city bus stop to catch the bus to school, I pulled up behind an SUV with TN plates, the required yellow ribbon "Support our Troops" magnetic sticker, AND a FRIST/PRESIDENT
bumper sticker. I literally gagged and thought I was going to lose my breakfast. It's bad enough to see leftover Bush/Cheney stickers here in Orange County which went 66% Kerry/Edwards (and where Edwards is now building a home), but to see the first FRIST sticker here (instead of out on a country road or in Raleigh) was too much. We both turned right, but the SUV switched to the left lane and I was able to pull up beside it. Yes, 40 ish white male driving and he smiled at me. I wasn't going to take that--self satisfied
nincompoop-- so I gave him the universal finger to the mouth "I'm gonna' puke" sign.

God, it was worth it just to see his face!!! Didn't have to sit there long, because I made my right turn and went on my way.

Anybody else starting to see bumper stickers for Repuke presidential candidates? Who? Where?

1. Is it just me, or does Frist always look like he just died?

so he always looks gray. Ironic, given that he was a heart surgeon.

13. I agree. He does have a cadaverous look about him.
For several years I have had the habit of saying to myself, "America is too smart to do this or that." But, over and over, I have discovered that I had been overrating Americas intelligence.
I now am convinced that we are dumb enough to elect a crooked jerk like Frist.

3. I saw a "Condi 2008" sticker a few months back
I take them as the jokes they are.

It's kinda nutty to be talking seriously about a Presidential race before the damn mid-terms.

6. I don't think this was a joke--it fit. A TN vehicle
with a GORE sticker would have been more likely in Chapel Hill.

4. Frist? The cat-killer? Yeah, that's a surprise in Orange County
but TN plates explain a lot though.

5. I have an idea for their campaign slogan!
Let's assume his running mate is Rick "Man On Dog" Santorum, just because we need a name. It could be anybody who shares Frists extremists views, though...

FRIST/Santorum:
DOUBLE-FRISTING AMERICA!

Or singularly, how about:

BILL FRIST:
A Champion For Brain-Dead America

10. Not a single one. Ditch Mitch and Bash the Bush is the general
sentiment in this red midwestern state. New ground here, believe me.
