Don't you find it the least but disgusting that the Flight 93 tapes where released just in time to coincide with the release of the flight 93 the movie?

Or am I the only one completely appalled at the obvious commercialization of death?

To me this is more of morons* message of fear and terror by extension.

Moron* and his room full of dopes pimping the taped recordings of flight 93 to universal studio so that they will throw something together purely for propaganda purposes is truly at the high of despicable behavior.

3. I don't think it was orchestrated as much as it was opportunistic

BushCo saw the reaction to the Flight 93 trailer and got a fresh whiff of their favorite aphrodisiac, FEAR. I'm sure they've had the edited-down, sanitized, "Extra Fear!" version of the tapes in the can for a while, and this just allowed them to get a reminder out to Amurka that we could get blowed up by bad guys again at any moment.

Not to mention, it eats up some news cycles.

It is abolutely propaganda, but how/why it is coming to light now is the question.

5. It is my understanding that the tapes will only be played...

for the court/jury. If they are played or released publicly, this is a gross violation of the policy in place by the FAA and ICAO regarding cockpit voice recorders.

I actually knew a guy who died on the flight, but I am not playing into the jingoistic heroic shit, as I am not convinced the triuth of the story is being revealed correctly.
