2. We were in Charlotte two years ago
A much larger city than I had surmised. We stayed at an Embassy Suite's I think and there was a Steelers Restaurant and Bar across the Street. I found that rather strange but we had a nice time there. Nature of our visit, NASCAR race. Had a great time in your town.

11. Lots of P'burghers in NC. I married one of them.
Other than the traffic and the maddening road system, Charlotte is a nice town.

than usual...oops, now he's speeding up, then he slows down again. Someone must have told him that he needs to slow his shit down.

The applause seems rather half hearted....

ON EDIT-----MSNBC has the coverage, for now, if anyone can stomach it.

5. "Being Prezident requires making good desCHISHions, based on principAls"
and having good people around you like CondoLEZZa Rice and Donald Rumsfeld."
His list is getting shorter.
Can't watch anymore.

9. They'll probably be of the canned and rehearsed variety...
...since the speech isn't open to the general public. Ya know, it's the standard W practice of preselecting the audience to make him look good. It still doesn't help, 'cause he looks like a moron wherever he goes.

10. Oh gawd. He's saying pre-emption has to remain foreign policy
And he did NOT grow-up in Midland, Texas.

He grew-up in CONNECTICUT!

If he ever actually "grew-up" at all.

13. Holy SHIT....he's JUSTIFYING removal of SADDAM with the same
LAME excuses....well, he coulda been dangerous to us!!!

This is pathetic. Totally pathetic. Even with a well-seeded crowd, I can't see him bumping the numbers with this performance.

FWIW, MSNBC broke away--even they couldn't stomach it, I guess. The feed is coming through just fine on the net--guess the servers aren't being overwhelmed, eh?

23. Retention? They are bribing them with re-signing bonuses and making sure
they have no jobs to go home to - one of Kerry's senate bills called for more help to those serving who were in danger of losing their small-businesses. I am certain BushInc DELIBERATELY ignored those needs.
