This is very strange regarding the Cynthia McKinney ordeal
While searching for a link--I found this.
Doesn't it seem "odd" that NEITHER a Congressional Aide nor a member of the Capitol Police could recognize a Congresswoman of Ms. McKinney's stature? Does anyone know where Ms. McKinney sits in relation to Mr. McCotter while they are on the floor of the House?

>>>>>snip
An assistant to Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, R-Mich., witnessed the incident and gave a statement to Capitol Police, sources told FOX News. The witness, whose name is being withheld, told police that she saw McKinney hit a police officer. The witness was unaware that McKinney was a congresswoman.

10. I can see why.......

I'm not sure what to think. There's definitely a he said/she said thing going on. And yeah, I think race plays a role, too. And maybe gender as well.

If there's a video of the incident, I'd like to see it.

13. um - I'm female
and her "look" is drastically different. Not only her hair, but her clothes and jewelry from the pics I could pull up of "before" and "after" her style change.

6. And he should have given HER the respect she deserves
He grabbed her first remember?
Now...where is that pesky videotape that will show us EXACTLY what happened?
Why are we taking the word of a some Republican staffer who obviously doesn't know her ass from a hole in the ground and an allegedly "new" Capitol Policeman who may have had an agenda?
nuff' said.

11. Actually congresspeople are routinely weaved around checkpoints if/when
they are recognized or identify themselves.

20. Of course they are allowed to. But if the guard doesn't
recognize them, or doesn't get a good enough look at their face, he or she should stop them for identification.

16. seems Rep. McKinney apologized this morning
so can we take her word for it?

''There should not have been any physical contact in this incident,'' McKinney said in brief remarks on the House floor. ''I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all and I regret its escalation and I apologize.''

congresspeople who didn't recognize her when they came back to DC after the break.

She had altered her appearance drastically with her new "do" and was wearing much more colorful outfits.

14. Oh No!
One Fascist member of the State accosted another member of the Fascist State!!!! Goodness gracious! This is all just another sideshow to get people focused away from the big issue, that the State continues to impose Slavery and Death upon it's so-called citizens.

17. Members of the House do not have assigned seats
But Democrats usually sit to the Speaker's right and Republicans usually sit on the other side of the chamber.
