I KNEW there was a reason to watch the 700 Club!
Pat Robertson today - not a quote, from memory, but pretty close:

16 yo girl writes in, asking if it's a sin to speak ill of others.

PAT SAID YES!! Can you believe that motherfuckingshit?

Pat flat-out said that it's a sin to speak of other people unless it's nice, and that "it's something christians think they can get away with".

At this point, let's just briefly recall some things Robertson has said in the past:

"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war."

"You know it's an amazing thing -- this is a Christian country, it's founded by Christians, Christmas is one of our great celebrations. It's been a time of joy for our people for many years, and not only us, but now they're picking up Christmas in Japan, picking it up in China. It's something that has blessed the world. And if people don't like America and the traditions that made America great, let them go to Saudi Arabia, let them go to Pakistan. Yeah, they can go to the Sudan and find a wonderful Muslim holiday."

Not so nice is it?

1. And the money pours in to him. I cannot respect him or the followers.
They have eyes, ears, and a brain that they don't use.

4. I hate to say it, Bloo - but Pat "Phatwa" Robberson
would have an instant answer for you. Here's what he would say:

"No, I was not speaking ill of Mr. Chavez when I said we should assassinate him". That's completely different. You see, I'm a special counsel to the President. He comes to me in time of need. I advise him on many matters, and so far I've been very helpful to him."

"Now as far as Mr. Chavez: He is a very dangerous man. He is threatening the entire western world with his radical policies. We SHOULD take him out. I have not changed my position on this matter."

- - - -

That's what he would say. I'm not kidding.
