Chimpy's Day of Reckoning?
Is it me, or does anyone else feel he may finally suffer consequences for his ruthless, dishonest, criminal actions?

1. I think he'll see historically low poll numbers that beat even Nixon's...
...at his lowest.:nuke:

12. I wonder if this is Cheney's plan - to throw the Chimp under the bus...
...to put the Chimp into a positon in which he can no longer govern, and force him into resignation (ala Nixon, 8/74).

2. This Story is All Over the News Today
It is everywhere that I have looked - Even on Drudge.

This can't be good. But will anything be done about it? I seriously doubt it. This is what can happen when one party is in charge of everything. They can also simply not do anything that they don't want to.

Will be interesting to see if the White House even responds to the charges. They break the law all of the time so why will this be any different.

7. I agree, this is already being spun as no big deal...
by NPR of all places. So, just think what
Katie 'Seals Rock' Couric can do with it.

4. The only thing holding him up
is the ignorant, arrogant "christian" base he has duped repeatedly for years. And there is no doubt in my bald head that we haven't heard the last of what this evil human being has done to his country and its citizens. I just hope that his actions will be remembered by Americans for years and that the grand old party establishes permanent minority status for years and years to come.

5. Day of reckoning
I doubt it--because the Govt is controlled by Repugs and they can be ruthless when protecting their own. See what happened to the spying scandal--they want change the law to make it legal retrospectively!

10. I don't think it is even a misdemeanor
It simply has become unimportant.

11. It seems like we're forever...

getting our hopes up. Each breaking story over the last five years that seems to be uncontroverted proof that he's a liar, each person from within his own admin that writes a tell all book exposing his lies, every time he appears on the news babbling incoherently about a 911 and Saddam Hussein connection, hearing the numbers of the dead, maimed and wounded growing daily because he decided to invade a sovereign nation on a whim, and we got NADA, Nothing, Zilch. His poll ratings are down, big deal, he's still in power.
I'm not even excited over the promise of an impending impeachment at this point. Nothing will satisfy me, except to see the chuckling chimp, cheney, scumsfeld and rove taken out of the White House in handcuffs and sent to the Hague. I'm tired of the endless media dance around the criminals running this country.

13. Helen Thomas BLASTED the press corps today on Franken's show
and spoke eloquently about how they had "rolled over and played dead" on the lead-up to Iraq... and that had the media ASKED the right questions and done their job properly, we probably would not have gone to war. she put the blame squarely at their feet, for not "protecting our democracy".

This conversation was prompted by Franken asking her to compare this era's press corps with those she had worked among in years past.
