The New York Sun reports that a court filing by Patrick Fitzgerald reveals that President Bush authorized blanket leaks of classified information to reporters. According to the court filing of Libby's testimony to the grand jury, the Vice President Cheney told Libby that President Bush had authorized him to leak classified information from the National Intelligence Estimate.

David Shuster who has been following the "Plame case" closely reports on the breaking news for MSNBC. The Raw Story has more information.

IS NOT DECLASSIFYING INFORMATION, its a crime. It would be the same as my Division Officer authorizing me to tell the enemy what our ships movement and mission was. It wouldn't declassify the info and I would end up in the brig along with my DIV-O. bush is an evil monster who hangs on to the support of the religiously insane constitution haters amongst us.

4. This supports my long-standing argument that Bush is NOT incompetent...

but is in fact the most Machiavellian president in U.S. history. Especially in a regime so harshly tyrannical as this, the destruction of Valerie Plame could ONLY have been ordered by the president himself. Without those orders it would never have happened.

Apply that same standard of tyranny to the aftermath of Katrina, you get NOT accidental incompetence but deliberate genocide and the subsequent ethno-economic "cleansing" -- policies carefully formulated to aid the Republicans.

Apply it to Iraq and you get the Bush Administration removing Saddam Hussein to clear the groundwork for an Islamic Fundamentalist state: part of the Grover Norquist plan to grant capitalism the ultimate and eternal protection of a world divided between Christian and Islamic theocracies.

Thus too the repeated escapes of bin Laden and his topmost henchmen.

(Wake up, people: the smartest thing Bush ever did was convince you he is stupid -- a strategy derived directly from the Christian dogma "the smartest thing the Devil ever did was convince the sinners he doesn't exist.")
