Can we safely assume he commited treason in this meeting?

Like it has been wisely quoted all over the board...

It is not the crime, it is the cover-up.

2. He wasn't under oath, but I would imagine

That, if he lied to a Federal Prosecuter (during what Bush often term's a VERY serious criminal investigation)...

It would equate to obstruction at the very least.

And, high treason.

5. Isn't it a shame that the president of the United States
has to be under oath to be considered telling the truth? And especially the leader of the party of honesty and integrity.

7. He takes an oath as the President
and I think somewhere it says he is to uphold the laws of the US... That would be not upholding a law such as obstruction or perjury--it is still against the law to lie none the less.. Heck it is illegal to lie to the police....

3. Fitz wasn't aiming for anybody in particular,
he just went where the evidence and testimony took him. Let's not let anyone think for one minute that Fitzgerald had his sights set on Bush. He just followed the trail, and it took him where it led...which is apparently the Oval Office in the White House.

8. and/or perjury.
I'm sure that if Libby's testimony can be proven correct, there could be multiple counts of obstruction/perjury for both Cheney and the chimp.

Unless, of course they were truthful in these interviews. But that would be a first.

10. The June 24 date is interesting because I was just thinking that
in two months time, around the anniversary of the Wilson op-ed and the Novak column, things are going to get very hot for George and he's going to be grabbing his collar to try to get some air.
