Some background on DHS so-called perv Brian Doyle
Edited on Thu Apr-06-06 04:26 PM by LiviaOlivia
From Holden at blog First-Draft.com:

The So-Called Pedophile Media
04-06-06

I found this tidbit buried in today's NYTimes article about accused internet pedophile/Homeland Security press flack Brian Doyle.

Mr. Doyle, 55, who has no prior criminal record, according to the Maryland law enforcement authorities, joined the department last year after working several years for the Transportation Security Administration. From 1975 to 2001, he worked on the Washington news desk for Time magazine.

Wow. Twenty-six years on the Washington news desk at Time.

Yo, Joe Klein -- Karen Tumulty -- do you know this guy?

2. Careful about this - they did the same "sting" on Scott Ritter.
Which he got thrown out, probably because anybody with a computer could be set up this way, via Sneek 'n Peek.

Maybe he's guilty. Maybe he isn't.

3. I thought they busted him at home, while "working" on his home computer.
Did I hear that correctly or was a dreaming when I saw the first news story?

5. It could still be staged with VPN.
If he's not guilty his lawyers need to get some serious forensics experts on to his computer.

9. what's VPN?
i heard of a case in britain where it was proved that the arrested men's computers were being used w.out their knowledge by child pornographers to be a server or to store the porn off their own site? it sounded like the men were chosen at random so that the pornographers would be safe if law enforcement tracked down the computers in question? does that make sense? i don't have the computer knowledge to understand the details but it sounded like the british court concluded that anyone could be framed for having child porn from off site

i don't even understand how this can occur but i guess if they can put cookies on your machine while it's sitting here in your own house they can put other things?

anyone remember this?

8. But didn't they catch him because he was e-mailing
a "fourteen-year-old girl," who was actually an undercover policewoman?

11. you can send emails that look as if they came from somewhere else
maybe that's what the poster is getting at?

it happened to my mom, a malicious person -- twice -- mailed porn around and made it look as if it were being emailed from my mom's address at AOL

i don't put much stock in emails, if it's out of character for the person, there's something else going on

13. Reportedly the evidence also includes a telephone conversation while
he was at work, on a DHS phone line. Sounds like his lawyer is going to have a tough case.

like fingerprints, I believe. I don't know of any way to mimic voice identically. Maybe somebody else does.

Of course they could digitally splice his words together from various phone calls. But they'd have to be very good to get them all modulated properly.

At any rate, that's what trials are for.

4. This perv..
probably has done this sort of thing before, but didn't get caught. I wouldn't be surprised if some of his victims popped out.

Yes, yes...I know, "innocent until proven guilty" but this is my opinion, not a court of law.

14. They reported that he was arrested just as he was on the internet with
the undercover agent. Can that scenario also be manufactured? Could he have been on the internet, but not with the undercover 'little girl' If that's possible, you can take out all your enemies?
