Harman: The President is revealed as the Leaker-in-Chief.
via Raw Story

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Ranking_Democrat_on_House_Intelligence_Committee_0406.html

Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, released the following statement upon learning of former Vice President Cheney's Chief of Staff "Scooter" Libby's grand jury testimony alleging President Bush authorized the declassification and disclosure of portions of the 2002 National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iraq.

"If the disclosure is true, it's breathtaking. The President is revealed as the Leaker-in-Chief.

"Leaking classified information to the press when you want to get your side out or silence your critics is not appropriate.

"If I had leaked the information, I'd be in jail. Why should the President be above the law?

I'm having a deja vu moment -- this is feeling more and more like Watergate by the minute.

4. uhhhh

Harman is an idiot sheeple. bush legally declassified it.

So The information did not name CIA agent Valerie Plame, whose 2003 exposure triggered an investigation that led to the indictment of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

So WHY are you excited?

5. Why are you HERE?
No laws may have been broken, but this Admin is in deep shit politically. Didn't DimSon pledge not only to do what was legal, but was ethical as well? Wasn't he supposed to bring "honor and integrity" back to the Oval Office? His image as a "straight shooter" has just been blown to shreds. Stay tuned.

7. When did Bush legally declassify it?
Having been following this case with a fair amount of interest and a specific study area within my own field of power and its presentation (which as led me over the law in this instance), never once did I ever see that this had been legally declassified.

Yet, the information did name CIA agent Valerie Plame, which led to the indictment of Libby, whom, of course, like a sniveling whelp (like most other Republicans in power that find themselves suddenly jarred away from it) ratted people out. Of course, that's probably not the only information that Fitzgerald had. I'm sure, to make the claim he made, he had more. You see, it takes a lot of swing to indict a wealthy white man, but to indict a weathly, privelged fool like Libby takes even more and then to implicate a sitting president who is a generationally wealthy white man with a lot of power takes even more.

Am I excited? Nah, not yet. But, I hate to tell you this: Harman is not an idiot from what I can tell. She does what she thinks is right, which is more than I can say about my senators. But, people that knew this administration was bad news from the start SHOULD be excited because they are now convicted of the truth.

Why can you not accept fact?
