How do you think Bush and Plame will be any different......
than the spy scandal? The Republicans will say it is not a crime, the general public will be brain dead as usual and nothing will happen....again. My prediction, even though I pray I am wrong.

1. One angle is that the ground can't take too much more rain after
consecutive downpours.

The negative trust-eroding accounts out of this bunch of yahoos has been a steady chorus now for months now, and the poll numbers are dropping steadily along with it.

Iraq is a holy mess. An absolute pile of smoking rubble and fresh blood. It isn't going to improve by next weekend, and probably not by this summer or the midterms in November.

These charges against the idiot and his evil sidekick are sticking. They're sticking in the public's perception, not just among liberal bloggers.

And even Republicans, walnut-brained morons that they often are, are jumping ship on the captain.

When the ground's this wet, one more drop is one drop too many.

2. I wish you were wrong, too. But you're probably not.

3. So....

Why didn't he just own up the first time around? When everyone ASKED him if he knew anything about it?

5. Was * asked if he knew anything about the
7/03 Libby NIE leak? I don't recall, even though it was fairly recent; I don't think I read that he was asked. This is, of course, a matter distinct the Plame leak.

Moreover, is Libby speaking reliably? He undoubtedly didn't hear * tell Cheney, and may be either properly repeating or misinterpreting Cheney's words.

As usual, left with at least as many questions as answers.

6. He's on record as saying he "wanted to know" who had leaked it

And that he would fire anyone fingered...

7. I thought that was the Plame leak.
The NIE leak made the news for the first time only a couple of months ago.

4. here's why you're wrong
It's not up to the public. It's up to a certain prosecutor who seems to be absolutely on the ball.
