John Dean On KO Re: Gonzo's View of Executive Authority & Wiretaps

I missed it today but apparently Al Gonzo was in front of congress and when asked about wiretapping strictly domestically he said"he would not rule it out". KO asked John Dean and he shook his head and said TWICE, "quite remarkable". He also noted that when an executive has that sort of power you need to question whether you have a Democracy.

So much for their "if OBL is calling, we want to know why" bullshite meme. ust as we have strongly suspected from the beginning--that goes for what Dean said about democracy as well.

4. Have you not been hearing the snips here and there

where minor criminals are being fingered for crimes that have nothing to with terror,
like drug dealing, or child pornography. How could they be doing this in America's outback
if they did not have broad surveillance. There is just the teeniest mention of Homeland
Security in these operations but it is there.

My SO was on the computer and half watching with me, and his mouth dropped wide open too.. I just sat there staring at the screen.. I hope someone got a clip.. I kicked him off the puter to get back on and check if anyone else had heard it too..

on edit- He made it very clear that he thinks we have a real problem. I've never seen anyone go that far to explain the problem on MSM.. I'm still in shock..- Now I'm off to clean up the coffee..
