Veira to Today Show

It was announced today that Meredith Veira will be taking Katie Couric's place on the Today Show. Does anyone think Ann Curry and Campbell Brown should leave NBC in protest. It seems like a slap in the face to both Ann Curry and Campbell Brown, especially Ann Curry, that they did not get the job. I think Curry should have been given the job because of her time at the Today Show. She has been reading the news since Matt Lauer took over as co-host. It should have been the same with Ann Curry. So what do others think?

1. Campbell Brown is a repig who slobbered all over Bush in 2k...

Ann, however, I have no gripes against, and I believe she was passed over because of her ethnicity...

2. i'm not up early enough to see the show, but i do watch "the view"

and will miss meredith there. :eyes:

3. I like Meredith Viera.

She's good at give-&-take conversation & is professional as well as intelligent. She would have been much better suited as CBS news anchor than Couric.

I do like Ann Curry (love her soft voice, too), though. I love her pleasant manner.
