I've been stressed, cranky, crazy,...as all get out from my "American life".
Yesterday, my neighbor not only brightened but FIXED my day with her dog's bike.
She ordered it off the internet. Her dog's had surgeries, from time to time (just like her). Nevertheless, her dog, "Grace", would follow her on her bike rides, each day,...faithfully,...but, slowly...lopping right along behind her.
:+
When I came home from work last night (after an awful, stressful, "feel-like-hell" day at work), I drove up to my elderly neighbor, on her traditional bike,...and her dog,...on her own two wheels connected to her hip, back feet off the ground,....just, MOVING!!! Moving a helluva lot faster than the days she struggled to follow.
I swear to you, my life felt so freakin',....burdensome and heavy until I saw the two of them *LOL* biking, together, down the rural road I travel home.
I stopped to ask her, "Did your friend get hurt?", assuming the dog couldn't function without the contraption that was, well, a bike for four-legged creatures.
"Well. No. She's had some surgeries and, I think she may have hurt a disc, recently, but,...I ordered her own bicycle off the internet and,...well, she loves it!"
"That's amazing!!! That's just,...so,..." I give her smile of adoration.
"You and yours (nodding at her dog) turned my bad day, good!!! I have GOT to get a picture of the two of you,...if I can ever catch you!"
Stuff like this,...makes me love life,...American life. Of course, stuff like this isn't just "American",...it's human. Maybe, that's why I love such instances, more.
If only we ALL could stick with the basics, innoculate against complexities, cope with each day,... we might be happier and more peaceful/secure.
Just draining thoughts this evening.
