If it were a choice between Cheney admitting he lied to Libby (making the intel disclosure criminal) or having Junior exposed for using Intel for political porpoises (since Junior makes NO tactical decisions at all) ... what might happen? "May we live in interesting times."

...but Cheney as VP protects Bush from impeachment.

The public would easily buy that Cheney took it upon himself to speak for Bush in this matter. Everyone figures that Dick runs the WH. But if McCain was VP, then people would be clamoring for W. to step down.Bush could try to nominate a total loser from within to be VP, but I dont think Congress will let him pick a foreign born like Arnold. Brother Jeb is just plain out of the question at this point.
