OMG - re:LEAK - This is *IT*! Bush is finally gonna go DOWN on this one!
just kidding.. I just had to say it because it seems to be an involuntary reflex that I have to repeat every few months, until everybody forgets what shrub did, or doesn't care because he's 'keeping us safe' and 'kicking ass'.

Anyway, here's to hoping this one at least causes them A LOT of grief as well it should. But, I've seen these fuckers squirm out of anything and everything so far no matter how damning that I can't help but shrug this shit off now. That is very sad.

2. Not sure if you're kidding. I don't think a sitting President can be
indicted. Right?

3. LMAO!
involuntary reflex. good one! It does seem like many here didn't read the story although I have seem some threads calling for sanity. The office of the President can share any intelligence info with the press that he wants. It really IS that simple. If someone can tell me why he can't I'm all ears.

4. The Commander in Chief betraying one of his own covert intelligence
agents is illegal per the Identities law-IIRG. Interesting comments here:

5. chain of events?
No doubt that if they get him on the identities law that he'd be toast but there are no allegations that the law was broken by Libby or anyone else. Right now the charge is obstruction. If Fitz says that the act was violated and that Plame was outed then we have something. I don't know what it would take but right now that charge doesn't seem to be considered by Fitz.

6. More definitive proof of * illegality here
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x863042#863042 This definitive article is on' greatest' page now.

There are several specific categories of classified information that are protected by statutes-identities of covert agents is one of them. Those statutes are binding on the executive branch as well as on everyone else & carry 5-10 years in prison and/or fine.

7. Well I bet a few people at the WH soiled themselves when they saw
the "breaking news" in the media this morning. Since they play the game themselves, they know people notice the headlines, however accurate or inaccurate, not the clarifying details.

8. Bingo
No matter what happens. This will out the media for their shameless promoting of Bush, and, if not Bush, then their shameless promotion of the war. This is win-win no matter what happens legally and there is a possible Nixon ending if Bush follows his usual pattern of wimping out on a possible criminal prosecution, even if he could take it as far as the S Ct he won't have the nerve to take it that far.
