To those who celebrate Bush's poll numbers I say; BEWARE!
Don't be lulled into a false sense of victory. Bush and the Republicans may be at 36%, but 100% of that 36% WILL VOTE! They are hard core Bush cultists. I do not say that lightly. They literally do not have the ability to reason and will drink the kool aid. No questions asked.

EVERYTHING that Bush and Rove does between now and November will be designed to drive down voter turn out for the Democrats. This will be the ugliest, dirtiest campaign you have ever witnessed. You will be bombarded by messages that your vote doesn't matter, that it won't be counted. If DeLay's latest thugfest at the Lamont press conference is any indication, you may be physically threatened. By the first Tuesday of November you will be sick of politics.

It's coming. I can smell it.

I'm not lucky enough to ever have the great good fortune of having some right-wing rat tird allow me a reason to physically defend myself against laying hands on me in a threatening manner.

7. of course we should relentlessly push hard. having said that,
i really think that the banana republicans in congress realize that they are GOING to lose the house. as that happens, many who can't stomach going from the majority party to the minority party will retire.

and as THAT happens, it will have a snowball effect as it triggers more retirements, less spending on the house, and fewer voters motivated to vote on the republican side.

it might even have a cascade effect on the senate, if enough republican voters get discouraged. in fact, even losing the house might trigger some senate republican retirements as even this is a loss of power.

fight, fight, fight!
but know that for a change, thing do seem to be going our way....

12. things seem to be going our way? and we thought Kerry would easily win...
which without the voter fraud I'm quite sure he easily -EASILY! beat Bush, but eneter tha age of computers with intentionally no paper trails - it matters not who you vote for -- only who is doing the counting. 04 election was a classic example!

19. What will happen is what we make happen
Pessimism or optimism or something in between is pointless -- at this point, we just all have to roll the rock up hill and make
that our sacred mission. There will be lots of people trying to trip us up, but those of us who are hampered by pessimism just have to watch out for the obstacles, keep going, and ignore negativity.
