Conservative leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives are trying to pass a budget resolution that cuts $9 billion out of health care, education, housing, child care, and job training so that the wealthiest among us can get still more tax breaks!

But they don't have the votes yet.

We can stop these cuts IF calls are made to Representatives -- especially the moderates who are on our target list because they are undecided or leaning against cuts.

There's just one problem -- the moderates haven't heard enough from their constituents who think this budget sacrifices America's priorities to give tax breaks to the rich.

You can fix that and it only takes a second. The toll-free number above is available until the House votes and can be used to connect to the Capitol switchboard. The people at the switchboard can connect you to your Representative's office or help you figure out who your Rep. is if you're not sure.

Once you're connected to your Representative's office, you can say:

"Vote no on the budget resolution - it will lead to $9 billion in cuts to domestic services: less health care, education, housing, child care, and job training so that the wealthiest among us can get still more tax breaks. Vote no."
