Kerry on Bush: Evidently he's been looking for himself for the last 2 yrs
Kerry appeared on the "Situation Room" and "Hardball" last night and "Imus" this a.m.:

On the WH leak: "If it's true, it proves that the buck doesn't stop anywhere in this administration. It also proves that the president has a funny sense of having an investigation, when he says we're going to get to the bottom of it and I'll fire the person who authorized it, if he indeed authorized it. Kind of tricky. ... Evidently he's been looking for himself for the last two years. This is serious. If the president of the United States is authorizing the leaks of classified material in order to destroy people who oppose his point of view or go after them, then something is really unbelievably wrong with both their standards as well as the lack of accountability in this administration. And their word is now even less meaningless than it was a few hours ago" ("Hardball," MSNBC, 4/6).

3. Amen!!!!
The ironic part in this whole wicked administration is how similar--and dissimilar--to the Watergate situation this is.

As everyone knows, it was two very brave journalists who helped bring down the Nixon administration. This time around, the world of journalism is mostly in collusion with this evil regime, and it is the bloggers, the citizens of our country who will try their damnedest to bring down the evil that has infiltrated our administration. It hasn't been easy, the lord knows, but we are vindicated by the knowledge that we have been right all along. Even if the reich wing has tried to vilify us in that very same press.

5. I have been vindicated - but it makes me sick to my stomach
I never wanted this country to have go thru again what we went thru with Nixon. It was awful. And it was awful for this country.

But Nixon had to go.

And Bush and Cheney need to go, too.

4. Man, the editorial cartoon just writes itself doesn't it...
Bush in the oval office, peaking under the corner of that carpet he loves so much, saying "That leaker has got to be here somewhere... heh heh heh"

8. I like his phrase "unbelievably wrong"
There aren't words to express the outrage sufficiently, and trying to come up with phrases that'll come close usually just sound like expressions of impotent rage (emphasis on the "impotent" because of their inadequacy to the task), so I like "unbelievably"--it's an accessible, listener-friendly word, and it comes as close as any other word could, since what has happened in this country really is, literally, unbelievable.

Bush looking for the leaker is like O.J. looking for the real killer.
