Phrases that cause Republican Shock and Awe
Ever notice the look on the face of staunch republicans (and maybe even just moderates that don't follow politics) when you use certain phrases. Phrases that you don't really think twice about because you are only calling something by it's right name. Not necessarily things you use to provoke a reaction but just because it is so ingrained in the way you think about things.

Phrases like "the invasion of Iraq" or "the Iraq invasion". Or referring to some defense industry production as "production of weapons of mass destruction". Or "Bush's torture programs". Sometimes when I say stuff like that, I am reminded of how differently everything is framed in the MSM and culture in general, when I briefly catch a look on the person's face that says "What did you just say?".

There are others but honestly, it is tough not to be conscious of what you are saying when you refer to "The School of the Americas" as "that terrorist training camp in Georgia" (but I still usually use it anyway :) ).

Got any more that you casually use that cause a little "Shock and Awe"?

7. I Always Call It...
...the Bush Regime or the Bush Cabal.

Another good one is "No Tax and Spend Republicans."

I always call American style capitalism by what it is "Crony Capitalism."

I call the US the "One Party State."

8. Tax and kill Republicans
It's also fun to use these phrases for ironic value:

Freedom is on the march.

It's a slam-dunk.

You're doin' a heckuva job.

No one could have anticipated... (Insert disaster here).
