We all know by now that every time we catch the White House in some matter of wrongdoing, they simply attempt to divert national attention on to some other subject. Well, lately, Bush has come under fire for eavesdropping. So, what does he do? Start a national debate about immigration. Trust me my fellow Americans, there has been no, nor is there now, any true desire by Bush or his club, to change national immigration laws.
Today, the Senate voted to shelve the immigration bill.
Spin:
Frist stopped short of a commitment to bring the issue back to the floor during the balance of the election-year session. "I intend to," he said, but added it would depend on the schedule of other bills.Truth:
We never planned on passing anything or changing anything to do with immigration. But it sure got you guys to leave us alone about that eavesdropping thing for a little bit.
