I think yes, Cheney, Bush, and Libby hatched this plan to allow Libby to say Cheney and Bush said it was ok to leak (based on a faux declassification claim).

They must be, since the other option doesn't make sense. If Libby actually independently told the truth (that he was told by Bush via Cheney) and they weren't somehow involved in Libby's defense, than they would be totally P O deluxe for being implicated. They are not. Not in the least.

On edit, the problem with this is, is that Assclown has already gone on record saying leaking is abhorrent. Does he think no one will notice or remember his past comments?

of conspiracy to leak classified information that they anticipated from Fitzpatrick. But he crossed them up and instead just charged Libby with perjury. Though Libby may be able to say some of this stuff at his trial, whether or not he was authorized to leak is not the issue. The lying about it is the issue.

Trouble is, they made up this defense after the fact, when they knew charges were coming as a fallback position after lying didn't work.

7. Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to

deceive. The cover ups are covering up the cover ups, The lies are burying the lies. They are caught in this mess up to their crooked noses.
