Former FEMA director might become consultant for St. Bernard Parrish

Former FEMA director Michael Brown might be joining St. Bernard Parish as a paid consultant.

Brown, who resigned his FEMA post last September in the wake of stinging criticism of the agency's response to Hurricane Katrina, is expected to visit the parish next week. During his visit, Brown and parish officials will discuss the possibility of the parish contracting with Brown as a guide to help it navigate the bureaucracy of federal storm aid.

Brown now has a consulting business.

St. Bernard Parish President Henry "Junior'' Rodriguez said prices have not been discussed to this point, nor have any contracts been entered. Rodriguez and three council members met Brown recently during a trip to Washington, D.C.

2. If Michael Brown is at all concerned for his life, he should NEVER come
down here again. I have heard THOUSANDS of people say they want to string him up. :scared:

Btw, I read somewhere that they are going to replace the entire St. Bernard police force with Dynacorp mercenaries - I have no idea if this is true.

4. Hiya Swamp Rat. I read this also somewhere.
They were already working down there, with psuedo police badges also? If Brownie were to get down to the south, let him be a consultant. If he stays up north, forget it. How are you doing?

3. Brown is a boob and doesn't know his way around
his own bum, much less the federal beurocracy. Still, it makes perfect sense; there are barrels of money to be made in N'Orleans and it wouldn't surprise me to see any and every individual of anywhere from modest wealth to great wealth or favored political position to be swooping in as parasites on the system.
