6. Thank you for posting this. The "Peace for Everyone" photo...

is by far the one most powerfully telling image I've yet seen come out of the present-day protests, and I covered (or participated in) many of the major protests during the 1960s and 1970s. If you are the photog who made this picture, you've a helluva good eye: damn well done! (Not only that, but a superb, Cartier-Bresson quality grab: the defiantly contemplative expression on the mother's face is genuinely peerless.)

The particular photo, above, made me think that the anti-war movement of today had every bit as much angst and fervor as that of the 1960's, and I distinctly remember saying to myself...

''This girl is going to be our future.''

And she is.
