Fallen female soldiers..
Found this slide show at <http://www.afemalesoldier2.com/> and thought it important to share. Found it very telling of the loss due to this war. I don't mean to imply that the loss of the female troops is more important than than men, all are tragic.

100,000 IRAQI CIVILIANS KILLED BY ALLIES
By Naveed Raja
AT LEAST 100,000 Iraqis have been killed since their country was invaded by US-led forces last March.

Scientific journal the Lancet published a study that revealed the real number of Iraqi dead was at least 100 times that of the invading coalition armed forces.

And there was anger that George Bush and Tony Blair made no effort to keep count of the Iraqis killed and maimed by the Allied militaries.

3. The tragedy surrounding this whole fiasco can be overwhelming.
Every day I check the casualty numbers and read about the fallen. It is horrible. Then there is this poor family, left in limbo, no closure here, that's for sure.

Mother of soldier missing 2 years is steadfast that he'll be home
April 07, 2006 7:35 PM

BATAVIA, Ohio

Nearly 30-thousand pictures of Matt Maupin are circulating around Iraq.

It's part of the effort by his parents to locate the only U-S soldier still listed as missing since his capture two years ago. Maupin's family lives in the southwest Ohio town of Batavia.

His mother, Carolyn Maupin, hopes that, someday, someone will recognize Matt, and he'll come home. She refuses to consider the alternative.

A week later, he appeared on an Arab television, surrounded by five masked men holding automatic rifles. He hasn't been seen since.
