Who Heard the Thom Hartmann Show Today?
Did Anybody Hear the Thom Hartmann show earlier today?
I think he really does a great job of putting things in historical perspective.
He had some great points in todays show about Eisenhower and Roosevelt, and put things in perspective about what is really going on.
I just love his show. Too bad I couldn't hear it all.

3. Mr. Hartman is probably the most ...
well rounded, most in-dept intellectual radio talk show host around...

And he works his ass off and probably not for the money but because he cares about America!

5. I agree, while ALL the other hosts took off a WEEK for Thanksgiving
he was live everyday except Thanksgiving day...and I am sure he made a little extra, but I am sure the other hosts did not suffer for their absence! He is truly amazing!

9. True. But I learn the most from Hartmann's show. He's so
researched. And I learn about things Waaaaaaaay back in the 40's and 50's. But you're right, they are all good.

13. here's a speech where he touches on corporate personhood
seems things have evolved based on a mistake

Santa Clara County vs. Southern Pacific needs to be revisited

"Unequal Protection: The Rise of Corporate Dominance
and the Theft of Human Rights"

~snip~

"Now, since everyone says that the 1886 Santa Clara Country case was the turning point, where, legally speaking, corporations became persons, I decided to read it."

I like him, too.

We need history lessons.

14. He played a recording of Teddy Roosevelt, made by Edison...
a hundred years ago. Pretty bad quality, but he interpreted it for us. Words for today. Love that show.

16. I really like Hartmann. He drew my attention to this FDR speech...
...which is a 'classic':
http://blogcritics.org/archives/2004/01/07/194018.php

I guess he does 6 hours of radio a day. 3 on KPOJ in Portland,OR and 3 on his nationally syndicated show.

Hard work, good heart...I mean really...

17. It's like sharing pitchers with your favorite profs
I first heard Thom when he replaced Peter Werbe on ieamerica radio. Took me about three days to become hooked.

I'd buy into satellite radio if that's what it took to keep listening.

18. He's amazing!
I used the word 'hero' the other day for the first time in a conversation about his show.

We have so few today.

His bio is very interesting. Sorry, no link on that.

21. Thanks for the links ppls!
Wow! I am learning so many things on this forum! I'm gonna check out those links later today, gotta go to work & be a slave to the man!

If I had to pick a favorite Air America host it would be Thom Hartmann. Every time I hear his show, I come away learning something great (and some not-so-great)things about my country. Now if he had as many listeners as Fox News, can you imagine?
Who was it that said, Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it?

Ed Schultz comes in a close second, just because of the balls he lays out on the line.
