Is the reason that * cannot admit a mistake and just plunges
blindly ahead against all evidence that he has tied his decision-making to "God?" If * now says he was wrong, isn't he really saying "God" was wrong? Questioning "God" would lose him the fundie moron portion of his base, and there aren't enough greedy thoughtless rich people in the country to plausibly "win" even a totally rigged election. I think *'s religiosity is a crass, bogus, political ploy, but if I'm wrong, then he is delusional and should be institutionalized like any other person who thinks "God" tells him to kill people.

"God" is now telling * to set off over a million pounds of fertilizer and fuel oil in Nevada to prove that nukes will take out Iran's underground nuk-u-ler facilities. WTF, doesn't "God" know this one way or the other?

I am sick and tired of waking up every day knowing that madmen are in charge of our country.

1. I blame it on his parents. He was always told he was right,
and when he wasnt, it was always made right.

he has been followed his whole life by the cleanup team. he doesnt know anything else.
he has to be wondering why it is taking so long for everything to straighten itself out.

2. You got it! He has done this all his life. God just came into it recently

God is just his excuse THIS decade. Before that it was the booze and drugs that made him make bad choices. Prior to that, he was young and foolish. But always, somebody else had to clean up for the spoiled brat.

Poppie and Babs think that equates to good parenting... or they feel guilty for not being parents and that was how they compensated.

There is a lesson there for those with young children or those who haven't started their families... Hands on and involved beats money and cocktails at the club every damn time!
edit: typo

4. It is not in his psychological composition to admit being wrong.
Plus he is surrouned by sycophants who tell him he is always right and that any criticism is "just politics" which gears him into political pugilist mode which is the fuel that rocks his boat. Historians and psychoanalysts are going to have a field day with him for years to come.

6. Worse
This is more than matched by the whole extreme RW ideology and self image. Is is mass hysteria at its worst and * loves being their champion. Gee, I hate to bring up Hitler, but just because Pearl Harbor forced the corporate righties to take down their pal, their champion in the forties, doesn't mean he is the only sociopath in the problem mix.

Ironically they all use each other, their mutual adoration a convenient fiction. Bush preceded his enlightenment with recognizing how the cult could become his personal Emperor cult by taking the Reagan coalition and weeding it down to brainless stormtroopers.

A pyramid of social insanity. Also a scam.

7. It's the only way he can feel good about himself.
Let's face it, the guy's been a major fuckup for his entire life, and has always depended on Dad, Dad's friends, Dad's name, Dad's money, Dad's friends' money, and lying and cheating to get by (barely) in life. All of the advantages of wealth and connection hardly rubbed off on him -- he can't speak clearly, he has crummy manners, and he's narcissistic in the extreme.

The belief that God, that greatest of all beings (in his world), speaks directly to him and guides his actions is an opportunistic belief, an end justifying his scummy means and illegitimate desires. God as a rationale also shuts down any factual evidence or argument against him: it's heresy! He also gets to payback his real dad for being so much more than he is (even though GHWB isn't anyone we can admire) -- remember "I answer to a higher father" when asked about his choice to do with Iraq what his father had advised against?

God is Bush's giant excuse to do anything he needs to do to feel like a man. In other words, Bush is using God to wag his weenie.

10. He's a fragile little man.
He's immature, egotistical, spoiled, selfish, mean, stupid and arrogant.

The neocons whispered in his ear and pumped up his ego telling him he'd be the best president ever, he'd go down in history a hero; and he wouldn't even really have to work, because they would deal with the hard parts. Just go out in public in front of a kiss-ass crowd (I often wonder if he even knows his crowds are screened) that will tell you what an amazing job you're doing, while the neocons quietly dismantle the country as we know it.

One of them apparently blows enough smoke up his ass to make him think he's doing God's will, either that or he knows he's full of shit and is really an even bigger asshole than I thought.
