Maybe Bush wants to let all the illegals stay to set the precident that anybody who wants to can break whatever laws they choose, providing their motivation is strong enough.

Doesn't "illegal" mean "against the law" anymore? Or do we just not care about such minor inconveniences as laws in this country? Just sayting, if we are a nation of laws then shouldn't everyone be obliged to obey the law whether president or farm worker? Isn't that what "equality under the law" is all about?

Amnesty for illegals either applies to ALL illegals, including Bush and Cheney, or it's a hypocrticial sham.

2. It's even simpler than that - enforce the laws already written

Maybe states and counties should be fined along with businesses for not following the law. The president should surely be censured for not doing so.
