That picture of the little boy in a suit holding a teddy bear always brings me to tears.

that image is always upsetting to me too. the one that upsets me the most is the one of the little boy watching the soldiers fold the flag over the coffin. the look on his face is haunting.

20. Life gifts don't always have to be big. You just told a nice thing to

another human being. That is a gift. You also got me thinking about what is and is not important in life. Yes, you Madokie. I remember hearing a story about a woman who saw another woman crying. She approached her and they sat down and talked for a while. Nothing big. She just showed that she cared. Now how was that woman supposed to know that the other was planning her suicide and that she just saved her life?

A kind word, a loving thought, a smile. They really do change the world.

14. Great animation, Ava ......

The first part captures all the apprehension and love and affection of the families for whom this war is immediate. They cling to hope and use prayer in hopes of keeping their loved one safe. The teary faces reveal the insecurity and fear that envelops them.

The second part shows the devastation when those prayers go unanswered and the apprehension turns to grief. When a loved one dies, so does hope. Death is the final insult to these people.

This war is a mockery and its perpetrators have the blood and suffering of the world on their hands. They must be held accountable.

18. lol, i wish i had my energy today.

i made this one yesterday. today i feel like crap due to lack of sleep. We had HORRIBLE weather last night. My Mom and I where both up watching the Weather Channel. Our city's alarm didn't go off once, but we saw at least 2 tornadoes and heard another. None of them touched down here, but they did about 40 miles away. We passed some horrible damage from last night's storms on our way to see family today.
