CNN guy say Fitzgerald is releasing more court filings this Wednesday
Edited on Sat Apr-08-06 08:50 PM by NNN0LHI
I don't have a link. It was just several CNN newsreaders sitting around discussing the leak case a couple of hours ago and this was mentioned. I guess Fitzgerald doesn't abide by Bush's Friday night news dump rule?

4. Fitzgerald did not want ANY court docs released at this time
He fought tooth and nail to prevent it, then lost when a judge ruled that they must be released. the next day, the right wing New York SAun broke the story that Bush authjorized the leak of the NIE to Judith Miller.

So, let's stop all the celebrating and start putting things together. If Fitzgerald didn't want the documents released, and the New York Sun pushed the story, perhaps there's something not quite right about all this news the last four days or so???

13. Fitz doesn't want to tip off folks as to what he's got. He wanted to keep
some of his court filings even from Libby as I recall and make 'em for the judge only. The judge said no, Libby gets 'em too. At least that's my recollection.

I can see that Fitz doesn't want to tip his hand while Libby wants everything Fitz has to be out there.

8. it's a perfect storm for accountability brewing
The Libby revelation, the lack of denial by the White House, and the inevitable dropping of the other shoe by Fitz.

NOW, it's getting shades of Watergate. I don't ever remember a more dramatic time in American life than when Watergate went crazy. Every week some new bombshell would hit.

12. I would bet anything
the interview Bush and Cheney did with Fitz and his prosecutor witnesses are ripe with the case for obstruction.

They never dreamed this would disintegrate to pull enough black curtains back and expose them in all their glory.

14. I agree. Bush and Cheney have to be thinking how to spin that.

11. Possibly Bush or Cheney indictments?
I think it is possible that Patrick Fitzgerald has found enough prima facie evidence necessary to gain a conviction.

Fitzgerald is renowned as a very, very thorough investigator and prosecutor. He'll never, ever seek an indictment until he has all the facts. He is probably the most honest and reliable prosecutor in America today. He don't railroad and he doesn't let crooks off the hook. He seeks justice.

This is what BushCo hates most. He has such a squeaky clean image and has no skeletons in his closet. They can't demonise him!

My theory is that Libby was faced with a long prison stint at a real prison. He might have had his arm twisted by BushCo but is willing to risk whatever they threatened him with to avoid a long time in the Greybar Inn.

If my theory is right, or even close to the mark, watch the cannibalism begin! ;-)

15. Geez, I wish he'd hurry up
Its taking forever. He should just get a set of balls and charge Bush with obstruction or whatever charge he can win. Everyone already knows he broke laws. Its obvious .

16. Just when I thought this week couldn't get any better:
1. Office of Homeland Pedophilia busted.
2. Delay sent back to the bugranch
3. Bush fingered by Libby
4. Niger documents forged

Now, a new Fitzmas?

I like April. Can we just keep having April?

I'd like to move that date to Wednesday now. :)

I can't wait to see how they attempt to change the subject here.
