McCain in New Hampshire the other day....DISGUSTING Comment!
I was watching C-SPAN last night and apparently politcal whore extraordinaire John McCain is up in New Hampshire pimping Republican Senate candidates. He was commenting on how things in Iraq are going well and actually used the Propagandist's favorite phrase: "we're making progress". THEN, he said something that *literally* had me dumbfounded and left me jaw agape. McCain was saying we're seeing success in Iraq because (and I'm only slightly paraphrasing here):

"More Iraqis are taking the lead. US deaths are going down. Iraqi deaths are going up."

:wow:

I guess "success" means the brown-skinned people die and the glorious American military sees fewer casualties. What a disgusting piece of filth!!

7. What do you expect from someone who gave aid and comfort to N. Vietnam?
Yeah. McCain's war record is fair game. Absolutely fair game. Saddle up.

19. The high road has proven to be a losing strategy.
With all due respect, this isn't about vets, it's about giving the repukes a dose of their own acrid medicine.

22. How about a compromise on "Swiftboating"?
The dems should just do what Jon Stewart would do..... play the clips of Repubs saying all the wild shit about McCain.

Narrator: "We don't have to run Sen. McCain down... we'll just let his fellow Republicans do it. Let's hear what Rush Limbaugh had to say about the Senator on his radio show........

(play audio clip with Rush's picture onscreen)

Narrator: "How about what Vietnam War hero Jerome Corsi had to say about him.....

(play audio or video clip of Corsi. If he Swiftboats McCain in that clip... hey, it's not our doing.)

Narrator: "The Repubs can't seem to get along with each other, and they say the most horrible things about each other. Isn't it time for a change? Vote for ......"

If the Dems put a few 30 second ads together like that, they might even beat McCain.

13. Interesting..I just read an article titled, "Undeclared Civil War in Iraq"
WHATEVER THAT MEANS! It's either a Civil War or it's not, right? No one wants to admit it. They think we're blind, deaf and dumb.

I guess the Falwell ass kisser doesn't read the news either.:eyes:

15. Ok....here's a transcript of what he said...starts at 22:46 of the video
"How are we doing in Iraq? Well...we're doing alright. We're not doing nearly what we thought we would do. We're not doing as well as we hoped we would do. But we are making progress. The keys to success in Iraq are three: economic improvement, which means restoration of their oil capabilities and a better life and allow people to live in a safe and secure environment. The second is the training of the Iraqi military so that they can take over the responsbilities that US military is carrying out and we are making progress there. If you'll look at the casualties, you'll see that American casualties are down, Iraqi casualities are up. That means that Iraqis are more and more on the front line. That is proceeding pretty well. And third, of course, is the government that's a unity government."

So, by his "keys" to success, sounds to me like Iraq is a complete and utter failure at this point. Oil production is BELOW pre-war levels; casualties are immense and the US's drop in casualties is reverting this month; and the Iraqi government is now being run by militia groups and some officials in the government are beginning to refuse to cooperate with the US.
