Iraq is really in a civil war?

It just seems like such a useful way to spend time and resources. And I am sure that the Iraqis lives are so vastly improved by the zesty repartee of "yes they are" and "no they're not."

I think that the only argument I enjoy more is the statement that, "Iraq needs a strong central government to prevent it from descending into civil war." From whence do people think this strong government is suddenly going to appear? From the December elections? Fat chance of that! The only central government that has a chance is an oppressive Iran-backed Shiite regime (complete with death squads).

Well, I suppose as long as we cannot definitively settle the civil war question, everything will be just fine. Nothing to see here, America--just move along...
