13. What MADem said. Whooo!
Wonder if Air America will play this?

I think they might, but it would fit with MSM soft rock format too.

5. Wow! What a protest song.
I hear this group and think of how many times it has been the female species that has stood up for the cause...lots.

8. Very nice
It's hard to make a good protest song that doesn't sound preachy. This is a very good song and it has a great story to tell. Definitely check it out.

How do you sleep when the rest of us cry?, April 9, 2006

Reviewer: TigressDEM - See all my reviews

Dear Mr President is the new song a lot of people have been looking for. Yeah, it's a verbal body slam, but it's the way a lot of us feel. We would just like the man in the White House to wake up someday and care about the people he represents.

A pRes who has taken as much vacation as this one has knows NOTHING about hard work. Pink and the Indigo Girls are speaking truth to power and she is putting herself down in the history books with musicians like Dylan and Springsteen who speak from the heart about their experience.

I haven't heard the whole album, but I'm going to buy it for just this song and from other reviews I've read I think I'll be happy with the rest.

22. Called my local radio station and asked for it.
They don't have it yet, but they said they would look. If we all call once or twice a day until these people put it on their playlists, it will get played.

16. she was just on 20/20 but I didn't see it
you'd think she would of talked about the song. Anyone see it?

It's beginning to feel like the 60s...or at least sound like them. Funny, I remember anti establishment songs from that era were by and performed by guys...now its chicks.

20. Rolling Stone review is good too.
http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/album/_/id/9558059/rid/9580060/?rnd=1144631712512&has-player=true&version=6.0.12.1069

Pink is ambitious the way Madonna used to be: a mess of contradictions and complications with a knack for making those inner conflicts bolster her art. It took guts for her to follow her 2001 smash Missundaztood with 2003's Try This -- an uneven album that included punky collaborations with Rancid's Tim Armstrong -- when she could have coasted with more of the same Destiny's Child-like grooves that first charmed radio on songs such as 2000's "There You Go."

23. These two lines are amazing . . .
"What kind of father would take his own daughters rights away?
And what kind of father would hate his own daughter if she were gay?"
