1. Yep, it's good.

I saw it today. He's a little bothersome as he tries a bit too hard to choose the right word, but he pretty much says the right things. It is sad that we have this pretend democracy, and that Democrats are unwilling to admit the depth of the possibilities. Certainly it isn't so far-fetched, his dad has connections in the CIA, and Republicans own the companies that make the machines. Jesus, it's like Jeb Bush being the governor of the state that screwed us all in 2000, it isn't a huge logical leap or anything. THe more of those machines they get installed, the harder it'll be to ever win again.

And those machines have to be installed by law (HAVA). What a sweet deal.

9. I have a problem with his take on Kerry; if he thinks it was

stolen, what could Kerry have done that wouldn't have resounded for years and only sound like sour grapes?
I think Kerry is doing great, and I still respect him!

10. I don't think Mark is attacking Sen Kerry at all.

What he's saying, imho, is, even this guy, this guy who won the election and was deprived of his victory -- a victory he richly deserved -- can't really come out because the CULTURE binds him.

There's no shame in that. It's just the horrific pressure that being in that culture exerts.

I don't know if that makes sense.

12. He has chastised Kerry. I don't want to get

into it, but many Dems on here say the same thing, the dumb mantra, Kerry didn't do enough.
Perhaps he didn't, but what would his fighting have accomplished?
I don't know. I still remember those debates, and Kerry's recent appearances, and the man is
a gem to me compared to what we're dealing with.

14. I think what we saw between Mark and John was unfiltered

and not what either of them would have put out. Remember how raw we all were?

He did chastise Kerry early on. When that story broke. And I agree, let's not get sidetracked.

We need verifiable elections. Or, we have nothing.

was as bad as stealing the election itself. A dumb thing to say. Of course if I was talking for an hour on my feet I'd no doubt say dumb things too.

11. I respect the senator and would vote for him too in a heartbeat.

I don't think that Mark Miller is bashing the senator he is just pointing out what the Senator should have done and what he missed. If Senator Kerry heeds his advice he will be invincible next time. It's too Senator Kerry's credit that he's smart enough to learn from his mistakes.

to overcome the taboo around the issue of election theft.

The pressure must be crushing. And John Kerry is not a cartoon but a real man. That is why so many people find him so attractive.

John Kerry most probably won the 2004 election. Imagine having to live with that knowledge and still move on as a public servant.

just don't get that impression. He does have his thumb on the pulse of what's
going on.

As Mark says, it's deeply disturbing to know your elections mean NOTHING.

John Kerry knows. What he does with that will be something to see.

15. i rarely watch tv but based on earlier du thread i wanted to watch this

and am glad i did

and am so thankful that mr miller is out there crying in our wilderness
as like everyone else i am greatly looking forward to the article that will appear later this month about election theft

any guesses as to whom mcm was referring (the article later this month...)

"someone who knows a lot of people" can be very relative but i think we have also learned not to get overly excited that things said will actually be reported or discussed

and heres a big thank you to cspan booknotes
my mom and i used to often watch booknotes probably 15 years ago - she would have turned this particular discussion off in a second but i gratefully watched

Hendrick Hertsberg but that can't be right. He does a lot of political commentary for the New Yorker but most people won't recognize his name.
