Interesting trend; Freeperland vs DU.
Their fundraisers are taking longer and longer to complete.

DU's fundraisers seem to always be done in record time!

I think the trend is clear; Freeperland is dying. DU is prospering. We won.

They got the models with the little wash-up sink.

8. Was that the rally where they took the picture of him with all those
cell phones on his belt? He had 3 or 4 cell phones!!

I think about that every time I realize how badly designed that site is. You would think a man with so many cell phones would have a little tech know-how. LOL

4. FR Is SO Dead
Most of the topics have like 3 responses. The "Pray For President Bush" thread which used to have all these drooling knuckledraggers all over them, are like, *crickets*

If even those "morans" are on to GWB, you can stick a fork in him for sure, he's done.

Any lesser discussion is simply re-arranging the furniture on the Titanic.

12. interesting - a local tv station
was tipped off a few years ago by a DUer - on election day (I think the 2004 primaries) about problems that were experienced with electronic machines... the station followed up and found additional problems - and has followed the story per the machines (granted not all of the machinations possible) and has picked up its pace of coverage. WISHTV (channel 8 in Indiana - which has a good reach into the state) continues to raise numerous questions from machines, to problems with a new registration/check system (which could prevent legit. voters from voting). Keep in mind that Indiana is notorious for raising conspiracy theorists - so even if the reporting doesn't go towards the "who benefits" angles - it does plant the seeds that has gotten many to begin to wonder, speculate and be very, very concerned. Only way that the issue will ever fully be dealt with - is when enough of the population becomes aware, worried, and willing to push the issue.

Check out the Indiana forum for the most recent story (posted Sunday).

I am aware of the issue and the threat. I heard you the first time. And while this particular thread (DU vs Freep) isn't anything but blowing off steam - I do believe there are many, many other issues that need to be followed and discussed.

It's just that, to me, there is no more important issue than the vote. Without honest elections -- how can democracy survive?

spamming a thread is not considered proper etiquette. WE KNOW the elections were stolen, can we get through a thread without being reminded 5 times? It take it you watched MCM on C-SPAN yesterday and read his book. Alright already, believe me, you're not the only one who has. Calm down. Peace. ;)

And stop insulting those of us who have been on this issue since before even DU was aware of it. And I have.

I can have some sadistic amusement at the expense of RimJob any freaking time I want and I don't have to mention stolen elections in every freaking post.

I am VASTLY insulted.

I think post rate or possibly either total membership or rate of change of membership would be a better guideline than fundraisers - does anyone have any statistics on either of those?

30. Freeperland Is Imploding On Itself
The immigration issue has brought out the real knives there. It appears "Rimjob" is toeing the Rovian line and this isn't going well with the Posse Commitus...err I mean Minutemen faction over there. The other day someone posted another message board that was loaded with "Friend From Bill W." Freeper messages claiming they'd been banned and how the place has gotten so bad.

Face it, it's no fun being a Repugnican these days. What's the last good news these goons have really had? You have to go back to the last election to really see a truly positive event in these wretched blob of cells. Nobody like a team that keeps losing...and I think that also has driven some of the less rabid of the kool-aid drinkers to go back to the e-harmony website.

Now I'd like to see a similar trend in right wing hate radio.

Yet we are going strong with nearly 100,000 members. I looked at one out of curiosity and more than half of their members have single-digit post counts. How pathetic is that?

34. If DU was as crappy as FR, I wouldn't donate
Politics aside, the FR site is a train wreck. DU has the best forum I've ever seen and they just keep adding more stuff for us. Let's face it, we're pampered over here and donating makes the experience even better. If DU looked like FR, I wouldn't post as much and I certainly wouldn't pay for the eye sore.
