We murder 23 civilians in cold blood, three Marines get fired
Ah the sweet stench of democracy. What a shining example we set...and only caught because there was video.

3 U.S. commanders relieved of duty as Iraqi town mourns its dead

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/world/14298263.htm

"The U.S. military confirmed to CBS News that it has paid compensation to the families of those killed in this incident - and compensation is only paid when the dead are not enemy combatants."

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/03/20/eveningnews/main1419509.shtml

Just curious...
1) Do we pay the Iraqis on a "per death" basis?
2) If everyone in the family is dead...is it a freebie?
3) Do we pay more for dead kids?
4) When they shoot us, do they have to pay more than we pay them?
5) If other Marines kill whole families of Iraqis, will they get a free ticket home too?

:grr:  :grr:

1. This is why Iraq is moving into a deep civil war...

reminiscent of Vietnam....cover ups payoffs...they are showing the Iraqi's their lives are not worth persecuting soldiers who commit crimes...

I support our Honorable troops that are doing the right thing but these guys..they only get relieved of duty....this shows the world that the US is not serious in policing their own people......this is only going to get worse..

5. There is a difference

At My Lai it was US military personnel that filed the complaints, with this murder, it was because of evidence provided by a civilian that this war crime was discovered. The military in this case did
almost everything it could to cover it up!!!!

So if this was murder, then what are we to think about the attack that happened back in March of this year? Just another military lie to cover up the murder of women and children!!!!

7. I agree...I have read about the Mai Lai massacre...
and Colin Powell was the cover up man for that debacle wasn't he?

To answer your question how many of these incidents have occurred....Iraq is even more out of control than Vietnam was....the * cabal will be in front of the Hague in a few years....Afghanistan is spiralling into chaos also.....

2. So does that mean that US citizens should forgive and forget if say
bin Laden pays the families of the 9/11 victims a few bucks each?

4. Good questions. We have paid for a lot of stuff in Bush's wars.

I have never heard of a President that has his hand in the tax payers pockets handing out money like this guy. I was sure it would happen as he has always spent other peoples money so why would he change his plan for life now? It is hardly a gov. of the best and the brightest is it? Some times I think we have the old Spanish ruling family back. They talked funny and inter bred until they were sort of the dullest in the country.
