Bush Calls Iran Talk 'Wild Speculation'
AP - 30 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - President Bush said Monday that force is not necessarily required to stop Iran from having a nuclear weapon, and he dismissed reports of plans for a military attack against Tehran as "wild speculation." Bush said his goal is to keep the Iranians from having the capability or the knowledge to have a nuclear weapon. "I know we're here in Washington (where) prevention means force," Bush said during an appearance at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.

1. Wasn't the Iraq invasion "wild speculation" too at one point?

3. Yeah
I seem to remember that too. All the while it later comes out he had already made up his mind to invade.

2. * and McFellon are using the new phrase "wild speculation"
this is why * must be removed...Absolutely no thought of Negotiation....No thought of pulling other countries leaders into the conversation to resolve issues peacefully...

<snip>
"I know we're here in Washington (where) prevention means force," Bush said
<snip>

Can we impeach him already....(I know we have to wait until November...sigh)

4. I want to know why anyone out here should believe anything any
of them say at this point. We know for a fact that they salt the media with planned leaks to either push their lying message or to test the waters.

What Sy Hirsch has written is based on a "leak". How do I know that Bushco didn't release that leak? He isn't raising holy hell about someone "leaking". There is nothing that comes out of this administration that we can believe and I think that based on past experience, I'm going to believe the worst possible thing (in this case, that we're planning to bomb Iran with nukes), because that what I have come to expect from these people.

5. "There are no plans on my desk"
Wasn't those the words to the "wild speculation" as Bush was preparing to go to war with Iraq?

6. In August 2002, Bush said the same thing about Iraq. Blamed it on media
for hyping something he said wasn't even a matter of discussion between him and Rumsfeld during his "ranch" vacation.

9. If it's all just wild speculation, where are the top-level talks
with Iran? Are * and Cheney and Condi flying to Geneva to hold multi-lateral talks that include Iran, Saudi Arabia, Russia and China, among others?

Where is the diplomacy that this 'diplomatic solution' will require?
