Immigration marches. I will try and keep up on the post, but I have been asked to pick up the children for some of our friends that are cops or 911 dispatchers from school. I hope it dies down quick. I don't like seeing people here in Oregon getting hurt.

This is nothing. On May 1st, 2006, the immigrants are all going to boycott their jobs, they will not be buying food, gas, anything on that day . . . just marching.

And she gave me a list of thing that I needed to do for the children of the cops that were called in to control the riot. Since I have not heard anything back from her, I guess they are still busy with it. I will have to leave here at 2:45 to start picking up the kids from school. I have not heard any thing from any radio or T.V. station.

They show up to nearly every rally in Portland and always try to stir stuff up.

They halted in the middle of the Portland peace march to burn a U.S. flag, but the rally and march organizers were ready for them. They instantly directed the folks behind them to go around and prevented a bottleneck. Luckily for us, most of the press realized that they were a fringe group.

and the lines at Starbucks are long but civil.

KOIN, KATU, Oregonlive, KGW all have stories of the rally up, none have mentioned any rioting yet.

It was a bunch of kids that were trying to. The cops are stopping things as soon as they start up. The cops want the Marchers to be able and protest.

The demonstrations were mostly peaceful, though in Portland, Maine, one demonstrator clashed with a small group of counter-demonstrators. One of three people carrying signs saying illegal immigrants have no rights was hit in the head.

45. Here is my last up date.

One of the cops that was there today, just came by to pick up his kid. Well it turns out that there was some punks that did try to start some crap but they (cops) were able to put it out very fast. He said that the marchers were great and that the only other thing was that some people did get pissed because they had to wait for the marchers to pass before they could go on their way in their cars. This friend of mine just hopes that May 1st goes just as great. Peace.
