Daily Reminder: We are NEVER leaving Iraq. |

Just wanted to remind everyone, who may have thought that the seemingly endless string of bad news for the * junta means little.
We are in Iraq for good.

1. Said that about Vietnam too. People can change the reality. |
|
It won't come from politicians, it will come from the people who demand change, the military that builds up resistance.
Most of all, it will come from the determination of the Iraqi people to resist occupation.

2. I wish I agreed with you. |

I dont. I think we will at least have multiple permanent bases occupied by 30,000+ troops from now on.

It has nothing to do with the war. We need a permanent staging area for the security of the region/ Israel since we have left Saudi Arabia.

3. Well not until ** is out of office and he has said as much. According to |
|
him, bringing the Troops home will be the decision of future Presidents and future Iraqi Governments. Does Iraq have a Government yet? :eyes:

5. Just like Japan, Germany, Korea... |
|
but not Vietnam. So I guess Iraq can never be another Vietnam until we're gone.
