Quick question about the recent immigration protest

Have the police and government brought out the riot police, swat teams and usual show of massive force that happens during most large scale anti war protests?

I haven't been paying enough attention to know. If not why not?

2. There was a definite police presence at the rally in KC...

but I didn't see any sign of the police mistreating anyone. In fact they carted off one counter protester because his sign was invoking a little too much rage from the crowd.
