Another conservative is abandoning the Republicans

Never, ever thought I would hear ANYTHING negative come out of this man's mouth about George Bush, the Republican Party, or anything having to do with a conservative, Christian atmosphere.

But today at lunch, this man said "It seems to me George Bush is doing everything he possibly can to ruin this country. I don't believe it would be possible to find anyone who could do us more harm."

As we all sat there in shock with our mouths hanging open, he continued, "There surely must be something wrong with the man. Mentally, perhaps. I'm not sure, but I think we need someone else to do his job before he gets us into real trouble...if it's not already too late. My money is going to the Democrats (laughs) and I know that shocks most of you, but we need a regime change here in America. This has really gone too far."

Now, I cannot tell you what significance this has! If this person is feeling this way, I guarantee you a lot of formerly staunch supporters are also feeling this way.

I'm shocked, but overjoyed at the same time! I really do believe the wheels of change are rolling in a new direction now.

The Repukes are only in office cuz Big Biz wants them there to do their bidding for them. Politics are a factor of International Corporations and not vice versa. The weaker we are, the less the threat of an inconvenient uprising. And sice they control the media, they control the message.

GE, maker of war planes, owner of television station, just refused to air MoveOn.Org's ad about corruption. Those corrupt politicians sent us to war and gave out unbid contracts. See how easy?

We had a local election last week (for Mayor), and he voted for the Democratic candidate INSTEAD OF THE INCUMBENT Republican!

He's grouped them all together now. If they aren't speaking out against what's going on at the top, he believes they're complicit and holds them accountable as well.

The Democratic candidate won, by the way!

18. Since he is receptive... plant a message with him to spread

around when he finds others who feel the same way (that is, used to support bush - but now are worried/angry)... refer to the GOP in congress as "Brand W. Republicans". This is words from the RNC chair Ken Melhman, in reminding those running for reelection not to bash bush (and presumably to keep being supportive legislatively) because as bush falls (in public esteem) they all fall. But the term should be coopted by those of us who recognize that this republican congress (Senate and House) is complicit with Bush. They refuse to exercise oversight, they vote for bush's policies, and they repeat/spin the propoganda that bush spews.

It is a great term - as it is a two-word summary for the role of congress - and prevents the seperating out of Bush ("He's the problem) from the party (the party is still okay).
