Prediction: 10 Days from Now We Will Wake Up and Hear We're At War w/Iran
From what I can remember, Bush was given carte blanche authorization by Congress to initiate a war with the country of his choosing, at any time. I remember Joe Biden was recently pounding away at this anomaly on one of the Sunday morning talk shows. Thus, my prediction.

Since Iran just announced it is now enriching uranium, Bush will do a "wag the dog" and start a new war WITHOUT consent of an increasingly Bush-wary Congress. The American people will find out about this the next morning. No votes in Congress, no deliberations. This is the way Bush has always operated, shoot from the hip. It's also why he relegated the possibility of military action on Iran to "wild speculation."

Gas prices will soar, damaging the U.S. economy.

All this does NOT bode well for the U.S.!!!

:scared:

I'd be willing to bet a couple of months though. I really think they want our economy to tank; all their money is other places anyway. They will succeed in further beating down the American people.

13. Ladies and gentlemen the President of the United States:
"Good evening my fellow citizens.
Tonight I come to you with somber news.

As I stand here speaking to you tonight, a squadron of B-2 bombers
have been scrambled and are now bombing targets in Iran on the orders me,
the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed forces.

This Administration recently came across evidence of an impending terrorist attack
on American soil with a nuclear bomb and WashingtonDC as it's target.

We have been well aware of 2 or 3 suspected underground bunkers that house Irans clandestine nuclear manufacturing capability along with their bio-chemical weapons storage.

I have authorized the use of nuclear-tipped bunker-buster ordinance to guarantee we take out this threat in a surgical strike.

Unfortunately, these sites are spread out so we have to use 8 to 10 nuclear devices to ensure the destruction of this evil empire's cashe of WMD.

Certainly innocent people will die, but only those foolish enough to work in this nations illegal nuclear weapons program...
Bunker buster bombs bury themselved deep in the earth before detonating guaranteeing there isno air dispersal of deadly nuclear radiation I assure you.

Good night and God bless America.

I think you're right about the couple of months, however...
it's not as fast as you might think. They've been planning an attack on Iran for at least a couple of years, at least they were soliciting for plans of attack going back that far.

5. The rest of the world will not allow this
"cowboy" to have a Shoot-out at the OK-Corral. Trust me on this.

The Big hitters (Russia, China, India) understand 100% who they are dealing with. Bush is a loser, and he's a wild card. There's no doubt in their minds he's a loose cannon.

BUT they have told him under no uncertain terms: he is not allowed to start World War 3. The only thing Bush understands is power/lack of power and right now, they are damn powerful.

Check Mate, George.

10. I believe they've threatened him.
They've laid out the consequences of his maniacal actions, and it's a Lose-Lose scenario. I absolutely believe these leaders are working behind the scenes to stop anything like that from happening.

After all, if Bush really wanted to do it, he would have done it by now. Recall last year. They were doing the same thing: beating the war drums, like crazy. Nothing happened. Russia intervened.

And yes, I agree with you = gas 6.00 by summer, if not sooner. Maybe this month.

27. I can actually see a Russia-China axis forming to
attack Great Britain and the U.S. if BFEE looses nuclear fallout on that part of the world. It ain't just going to be U.S. vs. Iran, as bad as that match-up would be. The world's citizens will not stand for the threat of radioactive fallout from BFEE's first use of nuclear weapons and will force their governments to take action to stop U.S. and BFEE. (Just like the U.S. and U.S.S.R. allied to stop Hitler during World War II.)

14. Telling george that he's not allowed
to start WWIII is not checkmate. As long as he's surrounded by Rummy, Cheney and Condi, there is no guarantee that he won't bomb Iran, or any place else. You're seriously deluding yourself if you think that Russia or China could put the brakes on george.

26. Because they want nuclear (non-military) power?
At least publicly. They have also tried to reach out and deal directly with the U.S. Bush says, "NO!" then comes out and makes statements he won't allow it and won't allow them to have the knowledge.

The media has picked up on Bush's "threat from Iran"; Iran publicly announces they've enriched for power (but I haven't heard them say for bombs  ). So, explain how they are "asking" for it.

Don't be so fucking blinded by your hatred towards the Bushies that you can't see when someone else is being an asshole as well!

Of course that was about nuclear power plants, they're rubbing it in "our" faces! They're taunting "us" and saying "nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah! We're enriching uranium!" What... do you think the Iranians don't know what's going on in this country? Don't you think they get CNN? You think they've never heard of Seymour Hersh? Don't you think they announced the uranium enrichment YESTERDAY just to piss "us" off?

George Fucking Bush is not the only asshole in the world.

touting the neocon line on Iran, which basically is that Iran is a military nuclear threat because they are developing nuclear power plant technology.
There is no evidence that Iran is developing nuclear weapons. Though lack of evidence hasn't stopped a neocon yet.

on your prediction.

The US will make sure it's the darkest possible night.

Whenever it comes I look for the order of attack to be:

1) attacks on air and naval defense radars followed by
2) attacks on air defense missile sites followed by
3) simultaneous attacks on nuclear targets, civilian leadership and military targets that could retaliate against the US or Israel.

* wild card...attacks on Iran's submarine force will be dictated by their positions and ability to detect step 1 of our plan. If they sitting in eyeball range of missile cruisers they'll be turned into bottom debris at the start.

I expect the northern shore of the Gulf to experience very heavy bombardment perhaps lasting as long as 48 to 72 hours to make sure that Iran's anti-ship missle sites are totally destroyed.

The time to act is now or never, according to shoot from the hip Georgie. Iran just announced the enriching of uranium, they must act now or lose credibility. Bush has already said Iran "must not have nu-cu-lar weapons."

By October, everyone will have forgotten what a threat Iran is.

(even as emasculated as they are) will go along. Which, if it happens, will most assuredly create the most significant Constitutional crisis in our history. He very easily could cause the United States of America to become a 'banana republic' in very short order. The implications of what an insane 'president' might do are very very frightening.
