A sampling of voters in the SF Bay Area - part of the "steadfast and resolute" 38%.......

From the SF Chronicle:

14. And don't forget Katrina...
...18 U.S.C. § 1112. Manslaughter

(a) Manslaughter is the unlawful killing of a human being without malice. It is of two kinds:
Voluntary—Upon a sudden quarrel or heat of passion.

Involuntary—In the commission of an unlawful act not amounting to a felony, or in the commission in an unlawful manner, or without due caution and circumspection, of a lawful act which might produce death.

(b) Within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States,
Whoever is guilty of voluntary manslaughter, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both;
Whoever is guilty of involuntary manslaughter, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six years, or both.

The President is guilty of not heeding the warnings of Michael Brown and other staffers, as we now know from the Katrina Tapes. This meets the "without due caution and circumspection" clause, and it was completely legal to be an incompetent jerk. This sort of thing would be similar to the Zacarias Moussaoui trial because there would have to be a showing to prove he was responsible for at least one death to convict him.

3. "The economy is now booming and millions of jobs have been
created."??? Yeah, too bad that they have been created in India and China.

I hate to say it, but most of these people are idiots...they obviously have not been paying attention.

8. They are juggling two delusions...
One is their God-appointed, infallible president, two is their booming, supply-side, trickle-down, free-trade (!) economy. Everything is PEACHY-KEEN!

7. Argh!!!! Hard to believe there are idiots like this one!

Dan Dobleman, Daly City

:bluebox:First of all, what were the options? Al Gore? John Kerry? Good God, Bush looked heaven-sent compared to those two. Iraq is a problem, not insolvable, but major. The economy is the best in history and unemployment the lowest ever. I'd vote for Bush again in a heartbeat.

10. The media crucifixion of Kerry was very successful, I guess.
And the ignorance on display at that site is revolting.

15. I find the comments by Bush advocates that he doesn't............
govern based on polls to be of interest. Didn't Bush's first Faith Based Initiative appointee resign after 8 months on the job because the administration was so poll driven and tied to an ideological agenda? Where's the evidence that Bush doesn't blow to and frow with the polls?

Secondly, I believe about 4 months ago there was some national polling done that asked if voters had to "vote today" between John Kerry and George W Bush, who would they choose. It was dead even.

18. Question should read: are you WILLING TO ADMIT that you're sorry you voted
for President Bush?

Be interested to see how many of these people would change their minds if their names and faces weren't being published next to their opinions.

Then again, maybe they wouldn't. If you live in San Francisco and voted for Bush, you're probably used to being part of a small, insane minority.

C ya,

The Plaid Adder
