4. Why no complaint about the Toyota Sequioa?

.. it gets worse gas mileage while delivering less power?

The Sequioa gets a paltry 15/17 mpg delivering 273 hp.
A Tahoe pushes 16/22 mpg while delivering 320 hp.

The Tahoe gets a 6-speed transmission next year (a vast improvement over this year's 4speed), which pushes the mileage to 16/24mpg. The hybrid version debuts late next year as well.
Let's face it: curbing America's appetite for over-sized vehicles is too big a job for any manufacturer - let alone one that's dependant upon the profits of those large vehicles to fund it's crippling healthcare and pension woes. At least GM is *trying* to deliver better gas mileage to their behemouths. What's Toyota's excuse? They *swim* in cash compared to GM and it's union/legacy contract issues.. and they are fosting this lousy garbage upon the American public?!

13. Why is this "healthcare and pension" thing always echoed? it
can't be a surprise... they must have a somewhat rough idea of how many people retire in a given year. And too bad they (GM and the rest of corporate America) didn't feel like getting behind healthcare reform when some other president was pushing it as an issue. And we can thank Ronnie for letting companies play funny money with their pension funds, too...

I believe all this healthcare/pension crying is just a way to declare bankruptcy and screw over what's left of the middle class. They (GM) seem to have plenty of money for those new plants in Mexico and China.

11. $33,000 isn't the price. That's just a year's worth of fuel.
