DU this poll, you'll crack up! From a faux news guy, John Gibson
Edited on Tue Apr-11-06 10:01 PM by originalpckelly
Note: He wants you to say yes. He wants the media to report the "good stuff" going on in Iraq. He doesn't realize the place is so unstable, reporters who check out, sometimes check out again.

Poll
Do you think the media is misrepresenting the situation in Iraq?
Yes
No
65 votes

Here are the results so far:
Do you think the media is misrepresenting the situation in Iraq?

Yes 54 (81.82%)
No 12 (18.18%)

My goodness, we have to do this. It would be hilarious if this idiot had to say that hundreds of people thought the media was being accurate in its coverage of Iraq.

We're looking for no votes by the way. The freepers need to know their BS isn't popular. The media isn't only reporting the bad stuff. That's the reason we're looking for no votes. The pubs are attempting to excuse the bad news by saying the good news doesn't get reported. I know why, the reporters would like to see their families again, and you can't do that well with no head.

2. The media underreports the horrors. They ARE misrepresenting
the situation in Iraq. What a stupidly worded question, it seems.

it is worded poorly and I am almost inclined to agree that they are misrepresenting, by underreporting, but I knew what they're looking for, so I voted no (of course)

EDITED for typing

It's FoxNews. Let's let the Freepers have their little poll over there and engage in their usual deluded thinking and believe:
  • that it reflects public opinion at large;
  • that even if it did reflect opinion at large it would mean that they "librul media" (the same "librul media" that so uncritically repeated Bush's pack of lies about Saddam's WMDs in 2002/03) really is distorting the facts and really is in league with al Qaida' and
  • that FoxNews is fair and balanced.
Such people exist at Bush rallies and in psycho wards across America.

misrepresenting. Their eternal spin is that the rest of the media, except Faux and "the new media", is LIBERAL. Therefore, they believe that the evil Lib media is "not reporting the good about Iraq."

From OUR point of view, the namby pamby media misrepresents because of the free ride it has given Shrub, but that's not how wingnut GIBSON will read it. Has he started in on the War on Easter yet?

15. What I found interesting was the low number of people responding
to his polls.

Indeed, his audience leans strongly to the right--no to say delusional, but the number of people voting in his polls at all tells me he does not have much of an audience.

21. No, I will not DU this poll.
Gibbie can turn the results either way.

The truth is: The media *is* misrepresenting the events in Iraq because they are not covering the rampant death and destruction of the criminal Bush regime.

But I'm certainly not going to vote on lunatic John Gibson's web page to say that.
