CA-50 Congressional Election results (live thread)

Polls close in 10 minutes (8 PM PST).

Election results

Survey USA
Busby ---- 47 percent;
Roach ---- 14 percent;
Bilbray ---- 13 percent;
Kaloogian ---- 9 percent;
Morrow ---- 5 percent;
Uke ---- 3 percent.

Datamar
Busby ---- 39 percent;
Roach ---- 17.5 percent;
Bilbray ---- 16.4 percent;
Kaloogian ---- 9.5 percent;
Morrow ---- 6.8 percent;
Uke ---- 4.3 percent.

10. I just got back from walking a precinct...
It had 166 Dems that we were targeting out of 788 registered voters. That's about 21% of the voters there...

By 4:00 when I checked the voting numbers there, 22 of those 166 Dems voted, and 50 total had voted.

So even though Dems accounted for 21% of the registered voters there, at that point they had around 44% of the votes cast! And that's not even counting some of the indies and Republicans that are crossing over most likely.

Even with low turnout, it could still be a good day for us!

11. 1 hr 22 min after polls closed and no precinct results...
I'm reminded of a Mary Tyler Moore episode where the tally machine broke 5 minutes after countinnng started and the news broadcast had to go for hours without any new results.
